Some elements of these costumes are extremely useful
What will I take from this experiment:
What will I take from this experiment:
- Accessories such as hats and gloves can influence the Fairy Tale theme of the designs.
- Furthering the idea of softness for Belle 1 and harsh lines for Belle 2
- Cut and shape: fairy Tale costume doesn't have to be about 'dresses' its a completely original world that is a compilation of all things. This gives me great freedom.
- Period Drama and Rom Com works for Belle 1, the furs and frills an soft curved lines.
- Sci Fi and Western Works for Belle 2, it's edgier, there are more elements to the costume; layers.
Above and Below: Breaking into colour, blues and purples, a homage to the classic 'belle' ideal. Taking it a step further with the Sci-Fi with bold blue hair. It still, however, maintains an innocence, this could be down to gesture, something I will experiment with further.
